BELIEFS

We are associated with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ, LCMC for short.

As a denomination we believe:

Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, our Lord and Savior, and the Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. As our Lord, all authority in the Church belongs to our Jesus, it's head. Therefore, all actions of this congregation are to be carried out in accordance with his teachings and example.

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God, inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through the authors and are the authoritative source and norm for all we teach about the Christian faith and life.

Through the Scriptures, God’s Spirit speaks to us and creates and sustains faith and moves us to love God and our neighbors as ourselves.

The call of the Church is to worship God, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to carry out his Great Commission to make disciples who live out his teachings of love for God and one another. We are also called to work for unity within the worldwide body of Christ, joining with other Christians in prayer, worship, faith conversations, meeting human needs, and caring for God's creation.

This Church is a people created by God in Christ Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness, through word and deed, to God’s creative, redeeming, and life-giving activity in the world.
