At a baptism parents claim the promises of God for their child and make promises to raise them in the faith so they will learn to trust God and live out this faith. When a person is older they are given the opportunity to claim the promises for themselves by Affirming their Baptism.
Adults who are baptized and wish to Affirm their Baptism (be confirmed) are invited to meet with the pastor to explore what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, trust God, and live out the Christian faith.
In addition, individuals are urged to participate in worship and in serving in the church. This is part of building faith and relationships that are the heart of what it means to be a part of the church.
